Zaviarra Crafton-Smith

Zaviarra Renee Crafton-Smith (Zavi), 13 of Pottsville, died peacefully Tuesday in the arms of her mother and her father by her side at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, King of Prussia.

She was born on August 27, 2012, in Hershey, a daughter of James Crafton, Reading and Andrea Smith, Pottsville

She was a bright, lovable presence, remembered for her happy and content spirit and a beautiful heart. She always woke up with a smile on her face, glad to be alive for another day. Her beautiful smile & friendliness always touched the hearts of her family.

Zaviarra loved the simple pleasures, often found enjoying her favorite pastimes of going on long walks in her stroller or wheelchair & going to the playground. She also enjoyed watching Harry the Bunny in younger years. She attended the IU29 for a couple years and enjoyed going to school and field trips. Her fondness for the color pink reflected the vibrant, loving & affectionate nature she carried within her.

She is lovingly survived by her siblings, Angelina Crafton-Smith, Riley Smith and Shonna Crafton, along with her maternal grandparents, Marcia Smith of Reading and Thomas Smith of Mill Hall, and caregiver Tony Bednarchick (Uncle Tony) of Paxinos. Her immediate family & caregiver shared in her life's journey, cherished the moments they spent together, provided steadfast love and support and held a special place in Zaviarra’s heart.

Though her time with us was brief, Zaviarra’s spirit remains a lasting light in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She taught her family deep compassion and unconditional love. She will be remembered with profound respect and deep affection for the joy & inspiration she brought to those around her.
