Mary Pasek

Mary Pasek, 97 of Pottsville, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday at home.

She was born June 12, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Swick Polen

She worked as a seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union

Mary was of Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Tomko on March 14, 1951; a son Steven Tomko, January 20, 2016; a brother, Paul Brown.

Surviving are her loving, caring, daughter, Evelyn Kovac, Pottsville; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Tomko, Pottsville; her loving sister-in-law, Mary Anna Brown, Tunkhannock; many nieces and nephews; two special people, Gail and Carn.

Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Deacon Larry Lonergan officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10AM until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
