With grateful hearts for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Marcelline G. Thomas, who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2026, at the age of 98.
Born on November 7, 1927, to Robert and Dorothy Hess Stevenson, Marcie lived a life marked by unwavering faith, gentle strength, and deep love for her family and friends. A devoted follower of Jesus, she carried her Bible — worn and well-loved —and shared God’s grace through kindness, prayer, and encouragement to all who knew her.
She married the love of her life, Earl Thomas, and together they built a home filled with laughter, faith, and steadfast devotion. Their marriage of 54 years was a beautiful testimony of commitment and love. She was a devoted mother to nine children, a cherished Grammom to eleven grandchildren, and a proud Great-Grammom to nine great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest earthly joy.
Marcie was a faithful member of New Life Ministries for 35 years. She found great joy in worship, fellowship, and sharing her testimony of God’s goodness. Her faith was not only spoken—it was lived daily in her patience, generosity, and forgiving spirit.
She had a gift for making others feel welcome. Whether through a warm meal, a handwritten note, a gentle hug, or a whispered prayer, she reflected Christ’s love in simple, powerful ways. Her home was a place of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thomas, daughter, Judith G. Thomas, and grandson, Nicholas A. Zawada.
She is survived by her children, Marcelline G. Bair, Janet M. Bradley, Scott E. Thomas, Kimberly A. Kishonis, Lorrie B. Hemerly, Lynn S. Bowen, Earl J. Thomas, Tara A. Seladones, grandchildren, Christopher D. Herring, Danielle Major, Caitlyn A. Delaney, Michael T. Bowen, Megan L. Bowen, Elaine J. Myers, Tessa A. Remaley, Jacob E. Zawada, and Daniel J. Thomas and great-grandchildren, Cody J. Ankenbrant, McKenzie E. Hillegass, Gabriel A. Hillegass, Bennett G. Remaley, Everett T. Myers, Rowan A. Myers, Oliver S. Myers and Colsen D. T. Remaley.
Though our hearts feel the ache of her absence, we rejoice knowing she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Her legacy of faith, love, and grace will continue to shine through the generations she so dearly cherished.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
