Larry F. Reedy, Sr.

Larry F. Reedy, Sr., 82 of Ashland, died peacefully Friday, September 19, at Geisinger-St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg,

He was born on April 4, 1943, in Newmanstown, a son of the late Frank and Marie Kline Reedy.

Prior to retiring Larry worked as a truck driver for Interstate Dress Carriers and Clover Farms.

Larry was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and could often be found cheering for his favorite team on game day. 

Larry was predeceased by his wife, Billie Ann Lord Reedy, in 2005; a son, Michael S. Reedy, Sr.; two grandchildren, Bruce and Meadow; and a brother, Kenny Reedy.

Larry devoted his life to his family who survives him, a daughter, Debra Leeper of Lebanon; a son, Larry F. Reedy, Jr. of Pottsville; and daughter, Shannon Roskosky of Pottsville. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Brandon, Trooper Larry F. III, Taylor, Michael S. Jr., Haley, Natasha, Jordan, and Deliah, as well as his great-grandchildren, Trinity, Jordan, and Abbey; his sister Loretta Stump and her husband Dwight, Newmanstown, numerous nieces and nephews, his companion 20 years, Theresa Skrobak, of Ashland.

Service of Remembrance will be held Friday at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9AM until the time of services. Interment will be private at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
