David J. Rees

David J. Rees, 59, of Pottsville died Thursday morning at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont. He was born October 1, 1951 in Pottsville son of Nancy M. O'Connor Rees, Orwigsburg and the late William A. Rees. He was a 1969 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Pottsville and attended Penn State University. He was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, Schuylkill County Consumer Advisory Committee and president of the tenants association at Mary Queen of Peace Apartments. Surviving in addition to his mother are 2 sisters, Carol Mangan, Carlisle, and Paula Dodds, Orwigsburg: 3 brothers, Edward, Wrightsville, Richard, Orwigsburg and William, York: nieces and nephews. Great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to the Schuylkill County Unit of the American Cancer Society, 16 N. 4th St., Minersville, PA 17954. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
