Elizabeth Ann McGinley

Elizabeth "Betty Ann" McGinley, 76, of Pottsville, died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Bushkill. She was born June 14, 1934 in Pottsville daughter of the late Vito and Catherine Stagliano Galle. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was employed by the former St. Clair Garment Factory. Betty Ann was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and volunteered at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville and also enjoyed country line dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. McGinley, Jr., and a sister, Josephine Devine. Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara McGinley-Balina and her husband Fred, Neptune, NJ., and Joanne McGinley-Clare and her husband, Stephen, Bushkill: 2 sisters Rosemarie Donatucci, Atlantic City NJ., and Angela Steiff, Fountain Springs: a brother Vito Galle, Pottsville: 4 grandchildren, Jenna and Stephanie Clare, Jeremy and Jessica Balina: 1 great-granddaughter, Serina Catherine: Nieces and nephews. Services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with a Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. The family would prefer remembrances in form of contributions made to VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Rd., East Stroudsburg PA, 18301. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
