Kevin Meadows

Kevin Meadows, 55, of Seltzer died Monday at home. He was born December 22, 1955 in Pottsville son of Rita Juba Meadows and the late Donald R. Meadows who died in April of 2003. He attended Pottsville Schools and was employed by Sciara Delivery Service. As a teenager he participated with the Boy Scouts of America and was of the Catholic Faith. He was a Navy veteran and served on the USS Puget Sound during the Vietnam War. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his former wife, Virginia L. Reed Meadows in 2007. Surviving in addition to his mother are: a son, Donald J. Meadows and a daughter, Misty Meadows both of Seltzer: a sister, Karen Dittmar and her husband, Bob, Pottsville, a brother Kenneth Meadows and his wife, Beth, Harrisburg: Nieces and nephews: Matthew, Jeffrey, and Kaitlyn Dittmar, Nevan and Delaney Meadows. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Minersville. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Rita Meadows, c/o James E. Humphrey, 1112 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901, to defray expenses, or St. Michael the Archangel Memorial Fund, 538 Sunbury St., Minersvile, PA 17954. Interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
