Loretta F. Brown

Loretta F. Brown, 88, of Pottsville, died Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson St. She was born October 22, 1923 in St. Clair daughter of the late Louis and Mabel Thomas Darcangelo. She attended St. Clair Schools and later worked for the former Onyx Blouse and Pottsville Shirt Company. Loretta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville, and the over 50 group of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Brown in August 1994: 2 sisters, Charlotte Prutzman, and Anna Mae Lindenmuth: 3 brothers, Louis, Raymond, and Robert Darcangelo: Surviving are a son Carl R. Brown and his wife Beverly, Bethlehem: a brother, Alfred Darcangelo, St. Clair, and a sister, Mabel Smith, Pottsville: 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and an aunt who was her caregiver, Marcelline Thomas, Palo Alto: nieces and nephews: Services will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Rev. Guy R. Grube officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 West Arch Street, Pottsville PA, 17901.
