Betty Jean Schwartz

Betty Jean Schwartz, 83 of Pottsville, died Saturday afternoon at home. She was born March 13, 1932 in Pottsville, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Mae Fisher Miller. She attended Pottsville Schools and was employed by the former Boltz Knitting Mill, Pottsville, prior to retiring. Betty Jean was a member of the former Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Pottsville and West End Hose Ladies Auxiliary, Pottsville. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Schwartz: 3 brothers, Robert, George, and Harvey Miller. Surviving are her husband of with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage with on December 15, Frank R. Schwartz: 2 sons, Joe Schwartz and his wife Elaine, Pottsville; Gary and his wife Tracey, Pottsville: 2 daughters, Colleen Adams and her husband Robert, Fairplay, MD; Jean Ann Schwartz, Pottsville: a sister, Dorothy Miller-Garland, Pottsville: 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews: In keeping with Betty Jean's wishes there will be no services. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, is in charge of arrangements.
