Nancy E. Flannery

Nancy E. Flannery, 90 of Pottsville, died Tuesday at Golden Living Center-York Terrace, Pottsville. She was born August 8, 1924 in Pottsville daughter of the late Russell and Mildred Hoffman Smith. Nancy was a graduate of Pottsville High School and worked at the Schuylkill County Courthouse in the Controller's office prior to retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Flannery, Sr. on January 22, 2007, a son John J. Flannery Jr., on July 4, 1969 and a infant great-granddaughter, Emma Marie McCabe. Surviving are her children, Renee McCabe and her husband Dennis, Pottsville; Ronald Flannery and his wife Beth, Schuylkill Haven; Denise Mills and her husband William, Schuylkill Haven; Patrick Flannery and his wife Patricia, Lewisburg; and Michael Flannery and his wife Connie, Pottsville: a sister, Florence Bachman, Glen Rock, N.J.; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews. Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday at 12:00 P.M. at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with the Pastor James R. Fidler officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to the Crimson Tide Foundation, P.O. Box 62 Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville.
