Edna E. Frie

  Edna E. Frie, 89 of Pottsville died, Friday morning at the Gardens at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville.

  She was born January 21, 1928 in Pottsville daughter of the late Andrew Sr, and Edna Schock Kilmurray.

  She was 1945 graduate of Pottsville High School.

  She was employed by the former Raring Shoes and Freed Motors prior to retiring.

  Edna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth L. Frie, Sr., on September 28, 2009; 2 brothers, Andrews Kilmurray, Sr., and John Kilmurray; 2 sisters, Dorothy Shaffer and Florence Dikun. Surviving are her son, Kenneth L. Frie, Jr.; nieces and nephews.

  Services will be held Tuesday at 11A.M. from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with the Rev. Harold L. Hand, Jr. officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 10A.M. until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Trinity Lutheran Church 300 W. Arch St. Pottsville PA, 17901 or Hillside SPCA PO Box 233. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
