Michael G. McGeever, 48, of Pottsville died Thursday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center - South Jackson St., Pottsville. He was born June 2, 1960 in Allentown son of Helen Tobin McGeever, Pottsville and the late Patrick J. McGeever, Sr. He was a 1978 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Pottsville and was employed by Schuylkill Community Action as the Elm Street Manager for the City of Pottsville. He also hosted the radio show The Best of the Brits and Beyond on W.P.A.M. The Phoenix 1450. He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, Humane Fire Co., Pottsville, Green Wave Association of Nativity B.V.M High School and a social member of American Hose Co., Pottsville. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Diana Dryden to whom he was married to for 5 years: a son, Thomas in England: a sister, Kathleen A. Galavage, Pottsville: a brother, Patrick J. McGeever, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, Pottsville: nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 A.M. till the time of Mass. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Humane Fire Co., 3rd St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or Hillside S.P.C.A., Inc., P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Pottsville.
